Geauga County/Eastern Lake County Area- Companionship Volunteers Needed for Hospice

We are seeking caring, driven companionship volunteers for Hospice patients in Geauga & Eastern Lake Counties. A companionship volunteer provides comfort and emotional support to patients by making visits to them at their place of residence. This could include, listening, reading, doing activities or simply being present.

Hospice is a special kind of caring. Hospice care is patient and family centered, and
seeks to provide support and comfort to those facing a life limiting illness. Volunteers
play a large role in this effort by sharing their skills and interests in a manner that
enriches the quality of life for those they serve. Nationally, over 100,000 people serve as
hospice volunteers and give millions of hours of their time to serve terminally ill patients and their families.

We follow all current CDC guidelines related to COVID-19, and provide volunteers with all necessary and appropriate PPE during visits. We require volunteers to undergo background check, drug screen, and TB testing prior to volunteering.
