Who We Are

Project Hope for the Homeless is the only emergency homeless shelter in Lake County. Since 1993, more than 8,000 children and adults experiencing homelessness in Northeast Ohio have received shelter, care, and guidance through Project Hope for the Homeless.

What We Do

In addition to providing the area’s homeless with safe temporary housing, we also provide the following services with the help of staff and volunteers:

  • Basic daily resources, showers, meals, guidance & support
  • Needs assessments, goal plans, referrals
  • Daytime advocacy, support groups, aftercare
  • Mental health outreach
  • Substance abuse prevention
  • Skills workshops (budgeting, employment, life skills)
  • General health exams, blood pressure checks, nutrition, stress management workshops
  • Bible study, testimonials, prayer, music
  • Pastoral guidance and support by the various lay leaders and pastors in the area
