Purpose:
The Volunteer Teacher/Speaker will complete NAMI training and certification. He/she will present NAMI signature programming and/or his/her personal mental health journey in a virtual, classroom, or auditorium setting.
Requirements:
- An interest and commitment to the NAMI Lake County, OH mission
- Must be willing and able to complete corresponding training and certification through NAMI Ohio - which may/may not include travel to Columbus, OH
- Must have a well-managed mental-health condition, or have a family member with a mental health condition
- Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
- Must be comfortable with speaking in front of an audience
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of NAMI Lake County, OH volunteers, partners, and donors
